So you’re going on a yacht charter in the BVI,  and you want to make sure that you can phone, text, and e-mail.  Here are some tips on how to make “staying connected” carefree. 1. Before you leave home, set up an international calling plan with your carrier, i.e. ATT, Sprint, Verizon, etc.  You may also need to set up an international data plan if you want to send/receive e-mails on your  phone or ipad. 2. Incoming and outgoing calls from the BVI can be $2-3 per minute.  Ouch! So talk fast.
