One of my most memorable yacht charter trips was on a 130′ mega yacht cruising the Inside Passage of Alaska – up close and personal. Nothing like kayaking next to an ice floe with a seal perched on top. Breaching whales right off the bow. Calving glaciers raining ice chunks into the sea. Bears foraging along the shoreline. Eagles, waterfalls, fiords – exquisite and pristine natural beauty. Starfire , the lovely 178′ Benetti mega yacht, charters in the Bahamas or Caribbean this winter. The charter yacht captain reports that they have just completed a major refit. “There is not one space on the yacht that looks the same. We added wood floors in the main saloon, dinning and sky lounge. All the soft goods were replaced on the interior. On the exterior we changed the cushions and added a day bed and TV to the top deck.
