Now this new BVI catamaran charter yacht is right up my alley. I’ve been touting charter yachts going green for a few years now, and this “just launched” 54′ Nautitech charter catamaran combines luxurious accommodations, high performance sailing, and leading edge green technology for the smallest carbon footprint possible. The name says it all – Greenboat I. I hope that the “I” means that there are more green catamaran charters coming our way. With the state of the art lithium-ion battery, LED lighting, wind generator, many solar panels, and ultra-silent high output generator, the hush of dawn can be heard even if the AC is running. A2 – New BVI Charter Catamaran wowed me at the recent BVI Charter Yacht Show in Tortola. One of my favorites and on my Top Ten Best BVI New Catamarans list is the new 56′ Lagoon A2. I love everything about the design of this cat which feels every bit as large as a 62-footer. And eons larger than the 56′ BVI charter catamarans designed only a few years ago. My personal cabin of choice is the master with its dual access – from inside the boat as well as the direct access to the aft deck. If you are someone who says, “Just boil it off and give me the answer”, then skip to the bottom line. Otherwise, here’s the facts: 1. Flights into St. Thomas (airport code: STT) are generally much cheaper than flights into Tortola (airport code: EIS). This was not always true and hopefully may change in the future.
