Flyfishing Yacht Charter in Kodiak Archipelago, Alaska

Thursday May 31, 2012

Fly fishing Alaska Yacht CharterCharter the trawler, Single Star, for the ultimate outdoor adventure trip in the Kodiak Archipelago of Alaska.    The Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge has an abundance of wildlife, both on land and sea and is renowned for its world class fishing.   The archipelago is about 177 miles long and encompasses nearly 5,000 square miles, roughly the size of  Connecticut.

Single Star is a charter yacht for serious fishermen and women. According to Captain Lee Roberts who is a certified FFF instructor, the fish move from stream to stream depending on water temperatures and the boat moves with them.  Access to the remote rivers and estuaries for halibut and salmon is easy with the flats boat.  Captain Lee is eager to show you the lines whether you are a novice or an old pro.

In addition to fishing, they offer professionally guided wildlife photography and eco tours.  This area is famous for the amazing amount of wildlife, moderate temperatures and stunning scenery -  sea otters, sea lions, seals, fox, rare waterfowl, ducks, humpback whales, killer whales, fin whales, bald eagles, coastal brown bears and fox. Sorry, no lions and tigers, oh my.
