Everything you need is already onboard. No chasing around to rent this or try that. Best of all, each yacht has a watersports instructor right onboard. That means that every 6 - 8 guests gets personal instruction and attention.
Snorkeling: The waters are teeming with a kaleidoscope of colors and fish. If you’re a novice, your crew will be right by your side teaching you the basics. If you are an experienced snorkeler, your crew will show you the sights, helping you to discover places you would never find on your own. Many non-swimmers learn to snorkel simply because they have their own private teacher.
Kayaking, waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding: Our charter yachts are fully equipped with many "towable toys" that are pulled by the yacht's tender as well as kayaks where you can paddle to the beach or to another yacht in the fleet.
Scuba diving: Certified divers enjoy the convenience of diving right from their yachts. All of the scuba gear like BCs and regulators is onboard, and a crew member that is a licensed divemaster accompanies the divers. We can arrange introductory "resort courses" for novices who want to try scuba diving for the first time.
Learn to Sail: Many guests love the chance to take the helm and steer the yacht, and our captains are eager to teach you about sailing if you're interested.
Fishing: The majority of our sailing yachts carry light fishing gear and will often troll a line while underway. We can also arrange fly fishing, sport fishing, and bone fishing.
Getting Around: Each yacht has a high speed tender that is on standby to take you to and from shore, to other yachts in the fleet, or on a tour around the harbor.
Shoreside Activities: Our yachts typically anchor very near to the shoreside attractions where everything is within walking distance - there is rarely a need for a taxi or land transfer. Activities vary with each destination, but common land-based activities during the day can include shopping, golf, tennis, hiking, a trip to the spa, or an island tour. In the evening, you can venture ashore to a local beach bar or a casino. Our crews are local knowledge experts and will guide you to all of the great spots.
What about spa services?
We often bring masseuse right to the yachts or set up a "spa day" on a private beach. There are also many wonderful spas at shoreside resorts along the way.
Is golf available?
This varies according to the destination. Our most popular destination is the Bi which has no golf courses. We frequently arrange a private water taxi transfer to St. Thomas for the keen golfers.
Does everyone have to do the same thing?
Absolutely not! There are lots of activity choices, and it is common for people to go off and do their own thing.
What if someone is not a water person?
This is a question that comes up not only about yachts but about cruise ships or any other "sun and fun" destination. We've had people aboard who never got wet! What they told us was they appreciated the escape...the opportunity to relax on a luxurious floating hideaway and see islands that can only be accessed by yachts of this size. Instead of in‑the‑water activities, they went off exploring the islands, golfing and shopping. And some people found they became a water lover due to the relaxed, supportive nature of the crew and the gentle, clear waters.
