| Accommodations | UPWIND catamaran has 4 ( identical ) spacious guest cabins (double bed 160 x 200 cm) with AC, LED TV, WiFi, mobile phone and tablet chargers....for up to 8 adult guests. Each cabin has its own bathroom with electric toilet, shower & basin. In addition, there is a comfortable cabin for skipper ( and hostess/cook ) with their own bathroom, separated from the guest cabins. Salon equipment: 2 refrigerators of 300 litters in total, 70 litres freezer, dishwasher, LED TV 130 cm, gas cooker, electric oven, microwave, ice maker, laptop chargers The catamaran is equipped with air conditioning system, watermaker, 10 solar panels ( 1 kW ), generator, wifi system On UPWIND catamaran you can explore the feeling of enhanced sailing speed, especially upwind ( close to 30 degrees - as a monohull ), whilst enjoying accommodation tailored for the highest level of comfort for our guests. The roof itself is also an outdoor living space (34 m2) / FLYBRIDGE cockpit with the convertible seats / lounge chairs for all 8 passengers and 360 degrees panoramic view. The awning system on the UPWIND catamaran provides shade for the flybridge and cockpit areas. | Other Green Initiatives | Clients can hire a catamaran with one of the lowest carbon footprint in the yacht charter market and enjoy the benefits of a sustainable holidays By using the ECO energy solutions, at the UPWIND 50 ECO, the quality of accommodation for guests / crew has been raised to a significantly higher level. The roof is equipped with 10 solar panels from Sun Power Marine that are 3 mm thick and capable of generating 1 kW of electricity per hour. In addition to the solar panels, the yacht also generates electricity through a combination of a very quiet wind generator, a 3 KW generator and the alternators ( 30 kW ) of the Volvo engines. The generated or collected electricity is stored in LiFePO4 batteries with a total capacity of 1400 Ah. Sanitary water is heated by solar power but on colder days the water can be heated with built-in heaters. | ||||||||
