Spend an amazing week cruising the Mergui Archipelago aboard your private luxury yacht, and discover Myanmar, one of the world’s last true sailing frontiers.

Day 1
Ranong – Kawthaung – South Lampi Island
Fly into Thailand’s Ranong Airport on your private jet and transfer aboard your luxury yacht charter in Kawthaung, also known as Victoria Point during British rule. The springboard for Myanmar yacht charters in the Mergui Archipelago, Kawthaung is on the southernmost tip of the Southeast Asian country, facing the stunning Andaman Sea and just within a swim stroke from the Mergui islands. Left undisturbed by international tourism until merely 20 years ago, the cluster of beautiful islands on the Tenasserim Coast are a wild world of wonders, recent attempts at development notwithstanding. Soak up the scenery as you slowly settle in, sip a welcome cocktail, and cast off for South Lampi Island, where you can enjoy your first swim or kayak outing. Or perhaps, you’d like to relax on the first day and acquaint yourself with your crew and your new home on the sea. Your private chef will introduce you to the wonderful culinary delights of Southeast Asia at dinnertime, as you soak up your first spectacularly starry night in Myanmar.

Day 2
South Lampi Island
The first of the Mergui Islands to be declared a Marine National Park, South Lampi is home to a delightful underwater world, brimming with coral and hundreds of species of marine creatures. Dive and snorkel the turquoise waters after a delectable and hearty breakfast, and spend the afternoon exploring mangroves aboard a kayak. South Lampi is one of Mergui’s top 10 gems and boasts as much wildlife on land as it does off its sparkling shores. Head off in search of deer, leatherback turtles, and colourful hornbills, and watch out for the two resident elephants that like to get a little pesky at times! After a full day of fun and insightful activities, retire on top deck for a sumptuous seafood feast and sundowner, and to bask in the striking sun setting behind verdant island hills.

Day 3
Great Swinton Islands
Kyun Pila, otherwise known as Great Swinton Island, is an exceptional diving spot in the Mergui Archipelago, and will be your first port of call on day 3. Here you’ll discover miles of deserted sandy beaches, ideal for a jog or romantic stroll collecting sea shells. Dive the Shark Cave, one of the most famous sites of all. This somewhat challenging cave is absolutely enchanting, and recommended for expert divers only. Your dive master will guide you, one at a time, inside the deep-set cave, home to a flurry of colourful fish. A beachside BBQ dinner may be in order tonight, don’t you think? And of course, you are in Asia, so if your crew organizes a fun karaoke night aboard your yacht, it would be impolite to refuse!
On your second morning at Great Swinton, you’ll head to Mermaid’s Bay for a morning snorkel and in the afternoon, whilst your captain sails you to the Lampi group, enjoy a relaxing massage in your own private cabin. A leisurely afternoon spent reading in the shade of your outer deck, and enjoy a breathtaking sunset as you anchor just off Pu Tay Island. An enticing island traversed by near endless mangroves, Pu Tay is perfect when explored by kayak. An array of birds, monkeys and wild pigs keep you company as you slowly paddle inland for a few miles along Crocodile River. When you’re ready to stretch your legs, hike up to the top of West Peak for all-encompassing island and coastal views. Tonight, you’ll set sail for Observation Point, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful night sleep anchored in a secluded cove.

Day 6
Observation Point – Nyaung Wee Island
This morning, step ashore in Pulau Bada for a visit to a Moken sea gypsy village. The Mokens have carved – or better fished – a living on these islands for centuries now, free diving for sea cucumbers, harvesting urchins and hunting wild pigs on land during Monsoon season. Humble and hospitable, they are open to visitors and enjoy giving tours of their village on stilts. In the afternoon, take advantage of the last chance to snorkel and play in the surf, or indulge in the luxuries and amenities of the yacht that’s guided you through this striking part of the world for the last week. A farewell dinner of freshly caught fish, cooked to perfection, and an evening spent admiring stars and flying foxes soaring high.

Day 8
Return to Kawthaung
A few more hours spent sailing the pristine waters of the Mergui Archipelago are a fitting end to your Myanmar adventure. Today, you’ll head back to Kawthaung, for your transfer to either Ranong or Phuket Airport.
